Pasalubong from Mindanao

With no much ado, I am immortalizing the pasalubongs here by photographing them (Of course, they're wiped out long before this post): From Up to Down: Pineapple from Polomolok, banana from Tampakan, Asparagus and dried fish bought from KCC Mall in Koronadal City, durian candies from Davao City, Eagle Kite we bought outside the Philippine Eagle Center in Davao City, T-shirts bought at Aldevingco Mall, Bling-blings courtesy of a friend in Tampakan and Pomelo from one of the many stands in Davao City.

Food we sampled at Bahay Ni Tuding

Bahay ni Tuding is homey and has an in-house restaurant
which is a good thing during rainy or lazy days during a vacation.
Please check out how the hometel fared during our November 2014 vacation
in my foot and fire blog here.

Lunch at the Vista View Resto, Davao City, Davao Del Sur

We traveled by foot but we were transported by our mouths! One of the perks of vacation is eating heartily and discovering great food places. Vista View Resto is one of the happy finds! Feast on the food basket below... This is located at Ma-a Diversion Road and a great stop over before heading to the Crocodile Farm.

BOODLE MEAL FOR 4 TO 6 PERSONS: Kinilaw, crispy noodle, chop suey, chicken inasal
and pork barbecue (not in the photo because we requested to separate it)

Summer Roll in Hoisin-Cashew Nuts Sauce

Summer Roll is a favorite! The rice paper is found in the International section of any supermarket.
Here is how to prepare your own:

Sauce:
Combine Hoisin sauce, chopped cashew nuts and a little soy sauce and water.
Bring to boil until desire consistency.

Rolls:
In a chopping board, lay a piece of rice paper, moisten with water.
Place desired vegetables and cooked fish, meats or prawns.
Fold and roll as you would a regular spring roll!

Option:
You may serve with dip or include in the roll, the sauce.
